The Use Of Target Market Research

- Target Audience is defined by demographics and psychographics. Demographics are the types of characteristics on users that you would target the game towards. These include age, gender, race and sex. Psychographics are less simple to pin down than demographics. Psychographics are the reasons behind why a person would play a game, with areas such as interests and hobbies. (A Complete Guide To Target Audience Analysis For Content Marketers, 2021).

- For my game I have chosen three people with different demographics and psychographics to target with my game. The first one I will be targeting will be someone that is interested in quizzes. This person isn't that interested in games, however they do enjoy playing quizzes such as trivial pursuit on a regular basis. It will be helpful to have this individual play my game because they will have unique psychographics and will know if the quiz questions are too easy, difficult or just perfect for the game.

- Another person that I have chosen for my game is someone that will be soon working in the science industry. This person is currently studying sciences at university and has a much higher level of education than other target members. This will allow me to get feedback on if the elements in the game closely resemble time travel in general, or if the game doesn't give the theme of science and time travel away at all.

- The final person that I have chosen for my game is someone that is skilled in the game industry and someone who plays a lot of games in there spare time. This will allow me to get feedback on if the game has good controls and if the UI is up to scratch.
